Using a Top-Tier Accounting Package

Some smaller contractors use a top tier (expensive) construction accounting software. It has many features and functions to utilize in processing accounting information.

We have seen smaller contractors use this type of software. Unless firms manage labor, have inventory, possess an equipment fleet and the like, the software is more robust than needed. We feel that the company should examine the current software utilization and its cost (upgrades, maintenance, programming, training etc) and weigh it against the benefits received.
