The Word of the Day is LANDLORD
The Word of the Day is LANDLORD.
According to Wiki, "landlording may be traced back to the Roman Empire and the manorial system which began under it — peasants were bound to the land and dependent on their landlords for protection and justice. Under feudalism, such relations became widespread."
I don't recall any of my work or home landlords ever offering "protection and justice." You?
Don’t get me wrong, DSPR’s landlord is a kind and generous guy, but the man still has his limits. He hasn't enforced our contracts, helped us collect receivables or pay for our liability insurance. What would Mr. Furley have done for those wacky kids upstairs?
I think if a tenant sends their rent in on time every month they should have to refer to the recipient as a landlord ever again. The L word evokes images of a moat and scalding oil being doused on marauding peasants?
Kind of like a Capitol One commercial but not nearly as much fun. Speaking of which. Do you think that goat is really on skis or is it digital?
