One Step To Presentations That Rock
Do what I say, not what I do...now there's a cliché. How many times have you read something about the importance of getting to the point yet it drones on for pages? That's not what you get with Chris Brogan. He offers up perhaps the best single scrap of advice to make your presentations better. And he does it in five words.
Brogan says:
"Don't. Read. Your. Dumb. Slides."
Well duh, but most of us still do it; just because everyone's doing it, doesn't mean you should. Don't read your slides is the short version of a "presentation hack" offered up by the always engaging and insightful Brogan. The long version has much more subtlety rooted in the concept of connection with the audience, building relationships through presentations, and focusing on engaging in conversation.
I could keep going, but that would really kill the succinct aspect of this posting. Go to Brogan's site, read Brogan, and make your presentations better.
