    Kissing a Lot of Frogs in Sales and Business

    The old adage is true..... you may need to kiss a lot of frogs to meet your prince or princess in business. I recently met up with the charming and story-filled Frog Queens Judy Thomson and Gayle Hallgren-Rezac and we shared some amazing networking stories. Stories that began with, "and because he was there at that time, he ended up meeting this person, which ultimately has changed his life" sort of stories.

    Networking, when done properly is powerful. Gayle and Judy call it Positive Networking. They gave me an audio of their book, Work the Pond - Use the Power of Positive Networking to Leap Forward in Work and Life. It is the book about helping others, which ultimately and always, comes back to you. They use the analogy of needing to kiss a lot of frogs to meet a prince - and other frog analogies, such as "working the pond"

    I have read and recommended the book MANY times.I am recommending it again. The audio of the book, read by co-author Darcy Rezac, was a wonderful refresher on specific tips and ideas when it comes to the "how to's" of great Positive Networking.

    Darcy is the head of the Board of Trade in Vancouver, BC. I have seen him, but never had the pleasure of meeting him or hearing him speak. As he reads much of the book on the audio, it just got better and better. He has a great voice and shares their stories of amazing networking with such conviction and passion. Finally, I realized this will be a great gift for all of my clients who need more confidence and knowledge in the networking department.

    Even with many years of networking experience and advice myself - I have had those bad networking experiences that Darcy speaks of in the book.Truly a must read (or hear).

    If you get a chance, visit Work the Pond. Buy the book or audio - and once you hear (or read) all the tips, pass it along to another business owner or sales pro who could use more satisfaction and revenue.
