Join the Fun: Help Shape Internet Retailing
The Sloan Center for Internet Retailing at the University of California, Riverside is feeling interactive. Playful, too. And you are welcome to join in the fun.
Professors Donna Hoffman and Tom Novak have launched the eLab eXchange to "create a window on how online consumers think and feel about the Internet."
Simply go to the site, fill out a quick registration form, then start predicting how and where you think consumers will shop online this holiday season. The four categories currently open for predictions are: online holiday sales; most popular online holiday shopping day; most popular consumer electronics retailer; and most successful online holiday promotions.
The eLab eXchange is a unique way to harness the collective wisdom of online consumers, Hoffman and Novak say. They note that participants have the power to influence the Internet retailing industry: "Your judgments tell online retailers what you think about their Internet efforts and can influence their actions in ways that will make the Internet more engaging and intelligent."
In addition to being interesting and fun, eLab eXchange also will give away prizes to participants who make the best guesses. Go ahead. Give it a try.
