Here's to Serendipitous Networking!

Jenny Capella
Staffing & HR Legacy

Today and

tomorrow, I’m reviewing what I created in 2010—what to keep or expand and what to

release.  Part of the review includes my

networking activities.  I’ll look at each

one and ask:  Was the net impact of this uplifting or

productive, neutral (take it or leave it) or draining.  I’m doing this because my network is a

living, breathing ecosystem—anything but static.  This means that as I grow and learn, what

used to work often no longer does.  And frequently, new strategies emerge along the way that I don't want to overlook.

I’m going

to use one of my favorite tools for this process.  It was sent to me a couple of years ago by a

generous executive coach named Fran Fisher.

www.franfisher-coach.com.

Fran is not only a highly

experienced coach; she’s also a pioneer and visionary leader in her field; an

international speaker and published author.  I've included this tool, below.

As you look ahead to next year

(in Part II of the tool) I hope you include an intention for “serendipitous

networking”—the fabulous meetings, introductions and events that arise when least expected.  Serendipity struck for me many

times this year in the form of fabulous new contacts and events that up leveled my business and accelerated my growth.  I couldn't be more grateful.  Here's to multiple instances of serendipitous networking for you in 2011!

Part I – ACKNOWLEDGE

  • What did I create in 2010?
  • What have I accomplished by

    creating this?

  • What gave me energy/filled me

    up by creating this?

  • What drained my energy?
  • What have I learned in this

process? (In what ways did this grow me?)

  • What can I let go of? (What am

I DONE with learning/ready to let go of)

Part II – CREATION

In looking

at 2011:

1. When you

imagine your ideal life at the end of 2011, what is different from your life

today?

2. List 3

to 5 things that, if you CREATE them, will make your ideal life happen in 2011.

3. List the

things you want to COMPLETE.

4. What are

you passionate about right now that will propel you forward into each moment of

creation in the year to come?
