Trade Publication Blog Interviews
Maybe it was the alignment of the planets or a sign that blogging is, indeed, moving into mainstream use, but I was interviewed by two different trade magazines yesterday.
During the morning a reporter from Signs of the Times contacted me about blogging. She was referred to me by my good friend J. D. Iles, a small businessowner in Lincoln, NH, who is a master craftsman sign-maker and small business blogger extraordinaire. Later, over in the afternoon I was contacted by a reporter from the Society of American Florists for their magazine Floral Management.
Both reporters asked many of the same questions. In fact, it was almost like giving the same interview twice. But, I didn't mind at all because I enjoy educating others on the benefits of business blogging. Both of these groups represent industries that are comprised primarily of small businesses, which tells me the use of blogs by small businesspeople is on the rise. I've said it before and it bears repeating, small business can make better use of blogs for marketing and PR communications purposes than anyone in my opinion, including corporate America.
Small Business, let me introduce you to Blogs. Blogs, meet Small Business. May the two of you get along very, very well together.
(BTW, the interviews will be published in the July editions.)
