The Internet Onboard
If you spend both the long and short flights getting work done or drafting emails, I’ve got good news for you.
JetBlue plans to provide Internet access onboard their flights by the end of this year. LiveTV, which currently provides inflight entertainment to JetBlue and other airlines, will provide the service.
The even better news? JetBlue will offer their internet access for free, and free text messaging will also be available. However, cell phone use will remain banned.
Southwest is also exploring inflight internet; however, if and when this happens, the carrier plans on making this a paid service.
