The EPA Recognizes Xerox As "Performance Track Corporate Leader
Xerox has been involved in the green movement for years and The EPA has recognized the company for its accomplishments. Xerox has been named the “Performance Track Corporate Leader”, making them only the 5th company to receive the honor. They were also given a 2008 Climate Protection Award for reducing their worldwide emissions by 18% over 2002-2006.
Xerox is continuing on the path for the future with a commitment to reduce their emissions by another 7% by 2012 and a goal of waste-free production lines and facilities. All Xerox suppliers will go through an evaluation to ensure they’re meeting Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) standards. The company will work with suppliers who don’t meet the mark.
