The end of an era: A fond farewell and hearty “thank you” to my readers
Hello everyone. I’m sorry to say that this will be my final column. Over the last three years it has been my honor to write this blog about a subject I know very well -cold calling and business development. My vision for this column was simple. Give timeless and practical advice to small business owners who need help generating more business. Over the years I’ve shared my thoughts on everything from overcoming objections to closing the deal. I’ve enjoyed receiving your e-mails and giving advice and I hope I’ve made the cold calling process easier. I want to thank the staff at Allbusiness.com for helping me to fine tune my craft as a writer and a consultant. Albusiness.com has given me the chance to share my views in a way that has been both life changing and fulfilling. I want to thank my friends and business associates for allowing me to share my views and bounce ideas off of them. I especially want to thank my readers for writing in and making my blog one of the most popular over the last 3 years. I couldn’t have done it without all of you. This has been an amazing experience and Allbusiness.com will continue to offer the best resources and advice to small and growing firms. In a strange way writing this final article is like the episode on Sex and the City when Carrie decides to give up her column and move to Paris. While I’m not planning a trip overseas anytime soon I am taking my career in a different direction. My books Telemarketing Success for Small and Mid-sized Firms and The Single Person’s Cookbook are available on line ( at www.xlibris.com )and currently in bookstores, I’ve chosen to focus my energies on promoting them as well as my consulting services. In the meantime I invite all of you to read back issues of my column for tips or contact me directly at 415-267-4872 or e-mail me at awil267487@aol.com .You may also write to me about appointment setting and public relation services. Once again, I thank each and every one of you for your support in making both Telemarketing Success and Telemarketing Consulting Services successful in the new millennium. It’s the end of one era and the beginning of another.
