Next Time You Hear From Me, I'll Be in Singapore (I Hope!)
As you may know, Susannah Gardner, author of Buzz Marketing with Blogs For Dummies, and I will be making our way to Singapore to co-lead the first-ever conference on corporate blogging to be held in Asia, BLOGasia. (Whoo-hoo!)
My hope is the next time you hear from me I'll be in Singapore blogging about the conference. That is, if I'm not stuck in some airport somewhere along the way waiting for a flight that got delayed.
There's more to this post than just the personal tone it's taking. What this conference signals is that business blogging is gaining a foothold world-wide. In North America we are, in my humble estimation, at least a year ahead of some other parts of the globe in terms of the business use of blogs. That's a prediction substantiated less by research and more by gut feeling, but I'll stand by it. (Please feel free to prove me wrong.)
As a staunch advocate and evangelist for using blogs as tools for corporate communications, it is exciting to see this medium catch on across the globe.
We hope to live-blog the conference and I'll be sure and post anything of value here. If you know of any good hangouts or tourist attractions in Singapore, be sure and let me know. (Oh, and could somebody feed my cat while I'm away? I would much appreciate it.)
