Method is the $100 million dollar a year eco cleaning company that Josh Sims of the Independent, calls “The Ben and Jerry of the Toilet Bowl”. Method sells unique, eco-friendly cleaning products in well-designed packaging. The company doesn’t focus on the green nature of their products. They take the view that they’re green because that’s just the way they should be. Method gets into their customers’ homes with brightly designed bottles, the kind of bottles people want to put out on their cupboards. Their products are bought first because they look good, but they’re bought again because they work, and they’re green. The approach has been successful; the $100 million they made last year was up from the $15 million they made in 2005.
