How to Choose the Best Interval for an Autoresponder
Question from the mailbox:
I am delivering training material to my team via Autoresponder. What is the best interval to use?
An autoresponder is a an automated sequence of emails and training is one of its very best uses! As people join your team, you can get them on your autoresponder and let it do the work for you. However, the question about interval is an important one. The 'interval' is referring to the number of days between each message in the autoresponder series.
Most autoresponders let you customize the interval between messages. For training, that's probably the best choice. Look at the content of each message. If the message contains a lot of action items for the recipients, then put some time between it and the next message to be sent out. Depending on the action items in the message, this might be 3 days or even a week before the next one goes out.
If the message is just informational, then the next message can come fairly soon afterward. Marketers usually set intervals for 1 to 2 days in marketing autoresponder campaigns.
If too many days pass between messages, the recipient can forget about you. If messages are too close together, they might be mistaken for spam. If your home based business involves send messages via autoresponder, make sure you get the right interval for the content.
