"How to Build a Bulletproof Startup"
I like learning about running businesses. It is just a passion of mine. Sometimes though you get really bogged down in the details and lose site of that 10,000 foot view. So every once and a while I go out looking for something that give me that view. When I find a good overview of starting a startup I really dig into it. Not because it isn't something that I already know but because you never know when a nugget might present itself. I can not count the times I have learned something valuable in this way. I also make sure I read about topics I know absolutely nothing about. Sometimes learning something new will give you insights into problems that you currently have. Try reading about risk management or the science of DNA barcoding. How about the history of hot air balloons or maybe how computers fly an airplane. Keeping your mind open to new experiences as an entrepreneur can lead you to discoveries of untold value. Even if you think something is boring keep your mind, eyes and ears open. You really never know what will present itself and how it will change your life. - Doug Kersten "How to Build a Bulletproof Startup" "Got a great idea?
