Whether it’s Valentine’s Day, Father’s Day, a special sale, or you’re simply trying to move old inventory, every good window display should be built around a theme and highlight your store’s image. Are you trendy? Wholesome? High-end? Your window display is your store’s face to the world. And that means consumers form an impression of your store based on it.
Be especially sure to avoid cluttering the display. Accentuate products with the proper lighting, stock up on featured products, create a backdrop, and above all, be creative. If all this sounds like too much for you, consider turning the task over to a creative member of your staff. A final option is to outsource the job, but before you hire anyone, make sure to review a portfolio of their work and ask for references.
