Every year in the U.S., there are over 2 million brides, spending an average $28,000 on their weddings.   Industry professionals are now reporting that almost every single couple is making inquiries about green wedding options, with 50% implementing eco-friendly choices.  The choices range from recycled paper for the invitations, having organic foods on the menu, choosing receptions halls that use alternative energy, and having their photographer go all digital. 

 

Businesses in the wedding industry are positioning themselves for the green wave.  Rock Resorts already has a Green Wedding Initiative, and Dreamtime Images Photography purchases carbon credits, to offset any of the traveling they must do.
