America’s 26 million small business owners, are spending $143 billion yearly, on their computers and everything that goes with them. Ilana Debare, of the SF Chronicle, updates us on how to green up in the tech department.
There are no energy savings with the screen saver; it just saves the screen from being burned. To conserve energy, the power management option has to be utilized. Landfills can be saved by upgrading memory instead of buying new, but if you are buying new, look for the Energy Star Label. Equipment that wastes less then 15% of power via heat is eligible for the certification.
