Facebook Etiquette
I've now learned that I'm not the only one who's just a tad overwhelmed with all the, er, fun one can have on Facebook (thanks for the comment, GM!). So I took the bull by the horns and found a few good resources on Facebook etiquette.
1) Reihan Salam wrote an entertaining essay on Facebook etiquette in a 2007 issue of Slate. Salam reports that while most people have about 12 good friends in "real life," most people have about 150 friends on Facebook. No wonder we can't handle all the opportunities for socializing.
2) Wired's How-To wiki lists very practical tips on how to Save Face on Facebook.
3) An article posted on a New Zealand Search addresses the issue of ignoring both unwanted friend requests and unwanted applications.
4) And Laptop Magazine ran a story in 2007 about whether or not we grown-ups should even be on Facebook.
Maybe that's why I can't keep up with all the stuff on Facebook. I'm just too old!
