Dictionary of Finance and Investment Terms: zero-plus tick
zero-plus tick
securities trade that takes place at the same price as the previous transaction but at a higher price than the last different price; also called zero uptick. For instance, with trades executed consecutively at $51, $52, and $52, the last trade at $52 was made at a zero-plus tick-the same price as the previous trade but a higher price than the last different price. Short sales must be executed only on zeroplus ticks or on plus ticks.
