Veterans Group Life Insurance (VGLI)
five-year nonrenewable term life insurance policy for veterans who were covered by Servicemen's Group Life Insurance (SEGLI) while on active duty in the U.S. uniformed forces. At the end of the five-year term, the insured may convert the policy to individual permanent life insurance with any company that participates in the VGLI program.
