vertical publication
publication whose editorial content is written for the benefit of a single business, industry, trade, or profession. Examples of vertical publications are Retail Baking Today for the benefit of the retail baking industry, Chain Store Age for chain store operators, owners, and suppliers, or National Petroleum News for the petroleum industry. Every industry has several of these publications available for interested parties and for advertisers.
