transaction cost
costs associated with buying and selling investments. Examples of real estate transaction costs are appraisal fees, brokerage commission, legal fees, mortgage discount points, mortgage origination fees, recording fees, state transfer taxes, survey fees, and title search. Transaction costs in securities are mainly brokerage commissions.
