Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)
established in 1975 as the Securities Exchange of Thailand, it changed its name in 1991 to The Stock Exchange of Thailand. Major indices include the SET Index, a market capitalization-weighted price index that compares the current market value of all listed common shares on the main board with its value on the base date of April 30, 1975, which was when the SET Index was established and set at 100 points. Trading is conducted through the ASSET automated electronic trading system Monday through Friday from 10 A.M. to 12:30 P.M., and 2 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. www.set.or.th/th/index.html.
