SmartMedia
a type of flash memory storage device used in Olympus digital cameras and other portable devices. SmartMedia cards are square with one corner cut off, and the connectors are on the surface (Figure 244). Compare CompactFlash; Secure Digital; MemoryStick; MultiMediaCard; flash card.
Confusingly, the name SmartMedia (capitalized and spaced various ways) has also been used by a number of web page development companies.
