Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX)
Asia-Pacific's first demutualized and integrated securities and derivatives exchange. The exchange was established on December 1, 1999, with the merger of the Stock Exchange of Singapore and the Singapore International Monetary Exchange. On November 23, 2000, SGX became the first exchange in the Asia-Pacific region to be listed via a public offering and a private placement. The stock is listed on its own exchange and is a component of benchmark indices such as the MSCI Singapore Free Index and the Straits Times Index. www.sgx.com.
