Dictionary of Marketing Terms: pub-set
pub-set
in print advertising, an advertisement that is set in type by the publication in which it is to appear (as distinguished from an advertisement that is set by the advertiser or by a compositor of the advertiser's choosing and then supplied to the publication); also called publication-set. When an advertisement is pub-set, it is usually done without additional charge to the advertiser. However, the publication may not have the typeface or type size specified for the advertisement, or the publication's compositor may not take as much care with the layout as the advertiser might desire.
