Dictionary of Marketing Terms: prospect list
prospect list
list of individuals qualified to purchase a product or service, maintained for promotion in the expectation that they will become customers. The size of the prospect list and the potential value of each customer figures into the promotion strategy. For example, if there are 50 prospects for a product worth $100,000, it would make sense to plan a personal sales call. On the other hand, if there are 50,000 prospects for a product worth $10, then a direct-mail promotion might be the best approach.
