Promotion Marketing Association of America (PMAA)
not-for-profit trade organization founded in 1911 to promote the development, understanding, and use of promotion in the marketing mix. More than 700 PMAA members includes promotion and sales-incentive services and suppliers, law firms, university faculty and students, and companies using premium merchandise to increase sales. The organization conducts surveys, sponsors seminars, publishes a bimonthly magazine titled Outlook, and encourages excellence in the promotion marketing profession. Until 1977, it was known as the Premium Advertising Association of America.
