Oslo Bors (OSE)
founded in 1819 as a foreign exchange market, it later evolved as a commodity exchange; securities were launched in 1881. The OSE trades stocks, bonds, futures, options, and warrants. In December 2000, Stockholmsbörsen, the Copenhagen Stock Exchange (both now owned by OMX), the Iceland Stock Exchange, and Oslo Børs signed a cooperation agreement to create a joint Nordic marketplace for trading securities called NOREX. Trading is conducted electronically through Saxess. Pre-trading for equities is conducted from 9:15 A.M. to 10 A.M., with continuous trading from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M., Monday through Friday. Pre-trading for bonds is from 8:30 A.M. to 9 A.M. and continuous trading is from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. www.ose.no.
