National Futures Association (NFA)
self-regulatory organization of the futures industry. It was authorized by Congress in 1974 and designated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commisssion (CFTC) as a "registered futures association" in 1982. Its mission is to protect the public investor by maintaining the integrity of the market-place, and it is a source of education, training aids, publications, and information about futures professionals.www.nfa.futures.org.
