mobile unit
- television filming and recording facilities capable of moving or of being moved from location to location with relative ease and speed, used most frequently by the news departments of television stations.
- research facilities, libraries, blood banks, and the like, built into trailers that can be pulled by truck or driven under their own power from place to place as the demand arises. Mobile units such as these are often located in shopping-center parking lots because of the high volume of traffic in these locations.
