live
- in broadcast, term used for a program that is presented as it is happening, in contrast to a prerecorded broadcast. A live broadcast is said to be happening in "real time."
- in broadcast or stage production, term describing an instrument or device that is turned on, as a live electrical outlet or a live microphone.
- in filming, concurrently recorded voice track and action, in contrast to a voice track recorded after the action has been shot.
