Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT)
formed in 1856 as a chamber of commerce, it reorganized after the Civil War as an exchange. The KCBT is the principal market for hard, red winter wheat futures and options. It was the first exchange to trade stock index futures contracts when it launched Value Line Stock Index futures; options on the index also are traded. Trading hours for index products are 7:15 P.M. to 3:15 P.M. by electronic trading and wheat from 9:30 A.M to 1:15 P.M. for open outcry and 7:32 P.M. to 6 A.M. for electronic trading, all Monday through Friday. www.kcbt.com.
