Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB)
global not-for-profit association founded in 1996 devoted exclusively to maximizing the use and effectiveness of advertising on the Internet. More than 300 members comprise the association, whose activities include evaluating and recommending standards and practices, fielding research to document the effectiveness of the Internet, educating the advertising industry about the use of Internet advertising, and issuing reports of Internet advertising revenue. Members include companies actively engaged in the sale of Internet advertising and companies that support advertising, such as interactive advertising agencies, measurement companies, research suppliers, technology suppliers, and other organizations from related industries.
