magazine that is published by a company whose editorial content is relative to that company's business. There are two types of house organs, internal and extemal. The internal publication is designed primarily for company personnel and features articles and information concerning company activities and events that are of interest to the employees. Its purpose is to strengthen the relationship between management and staff and to heighten company morale. The external house organ is intended primarily for customers, potential customers, dealers, or other outside people who may have some interest in the company's affairs. Editorial content of the external house organ consists primarily of articles concerning the company's growth, technological advances, product development, and any other information that will help sell the company and its products. The purpose of the external publication is to present a picture of the company and its operations to outsiders.
