(1) products in the categories of over-thecounter remedies and medicines; (2) personal care items, such as toothpaste, shaving cream, and mouthwash; (3) hair care items, such as shampoo, conditioners, setting lotions, and home permanents; (4) body care items, such as body lotion, skin moisturizer, and facial applications; and (5) cosmetics, including face makeup and perfume. In mass merchandise outlets and supermarkets, health and beauty aids are displayed in a department separate from other merchandise. Abbreviated HABA or HBA.
