Definition of goldenrod paper

yellow or orange paper used as a support sheet for assembling groups of negative and positive film strips for printing. Goldenrod paper requires less preparation but holds its shape less well than other support sheet materials such as vinyl, polyester, and glass. It is therefore used only for black-and-white or continuoustone multicolor printing and not for fine halftone or four-color process printing.
