a distributed computer system that analyzes genome (DNA) data. Users can sign up at https://genomeathome.stanford.edu; then their computers will receive segments of data to be analyzed. Once their computer finishes the analysis, it sends the results back to the coordinators. In this way the power of a large number of computers can be harnessed.
