frame
- one in a succession of pictures in a video or animation. When displayed rapidly one after the other, successive frames give the impression of movement. See animation.
- a boxed area in a web page. See frame, HTML.
- a boxed area that is to contain text or a graphic ( word processing, page layout software).

Layout: single unit (or cell ) of a storyboard.
Production:
- in video, complete television picture. In videotape reproduction, 30 frames are produced per second.
- in film, single picture in a series of pictures on moving picture film; also called cell.In film, 24 frames are produced per second.
- outline of a television or motion picture screen used by the director to determine which elements to include or exclude when setting a scene-"to frame a shot."
