a federal agency created under the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery And Enforcement Act (FIRREA) to regulate and supervise the 12 district Federal Home Loan Banks. The functions of the Board were the responsibility of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board prior to passage of the Act.
