Dictionary of Marketing Terms: facing
facing
Outdoor advertising: surface of a billboard. If two billboards are adjacent to each other, visible from the same direction and less than 25' apart, they are said to have a double facing; if there are three billboards, they are said to have a triple facing, and so on.
Retailing: way of describing the look of a display on shelves. Each individual unit of a product is one facing wide, because its face takes up one space. The overall shelf display is measured in terms of the number of facings per product.
