emta
new name adopted in 2000 by Emerging Markets Traders Association, which was formed in 1990 by the financial community in response to the trading opportunities created by debt restructurings using brady bonds. EMTA's projects now involve market practices, standard documentation and infrastructure for emerging markets bonds, derivatives, foreign exchange, equities and local currency instruments, as well as advocacy of positions that promote emerging markets as an asset class.
