- right of a tenant of agricultural land to remove crops that he has planted, even if the tenancy has expired before harvest.
- vegetable chattel, such as corn, produced annually as the result of one's labor and deemed personal property in the event of the death of the farmer before the harvest.

emblement
a growing crop. Annual crops are generally considered personal property.
Example: Abel, a tenant planted corn on Baker's land. Three days prior to harvesting, Baker informs Abel that the land lease has expired. Abel has the right to emblements and so can harvest the corn.
