deliverability guarantee
guarantee made by the list owner or list compiler to the list user that either a certain percentage (usually 90% to 100%) of the list has valid (deliverable) addresses, or the postage expense of that either a certain percentage (usually 90% to 100%) of the list has valid (deliverable) addresses, or the postage expense of mailing to undeliverable addresses will be refunded to the mailer. Some exceptions to the guarantee may be made, such as excluding, for example, undeliverables that are complete except for an apartment number and could potentially be delivered. Some guarantees offer replacement names in lieu of cash compensation.
