CP/M (Control Program for Microcomputers)
an operating system developed by Digital Research, Inc., and used on microcomputers in the 1980s. (See operating system). The original CP/M (now called CP/M-80) was widely employed on computers that used the 8-bit Z80 processor. CP/M greatly influenced the early development of DOS.
