Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
a new designation offered by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (www.acfe.org),established in 1988 and based in Austin, Texas. Each member of the association is designated a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) who has earned certification after an extensive application process and upon passing the uniform CFE examination is trained in the highly specialized aspects of detecting, investigating, and deterring fraud and whitecollar crime.
