Bluetooth
a technical industry standard for seamless low-power, short-range wireless communication of data and voice between electronic devices such as mobile phones, computers (including handhelds), PDAs, printers, and the like. The specification was designed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, a consortium of computer and telecommunications companies founded in 1998 by Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Nokia, and Toshiba.
