Dictionary of Marketing Terms: bingo card
bingo card
insert bound into a periodical and used by readers as a return card to request information, literature, or samples from companies who either advertise in the periodical or are mentioned in the editorial content; also called reader service card. The insert has the appearance of a bingo card in that it is distinguished by rows of numbers, each of which corresponds to a company. To receive information, readers need only to mark off the numbers corresponding to the materials in which they are interested. Although bingo cards may be found in some consumer magazines, they are primarily used in trade publications.
