batch header
document fed into a computer at the beginning of each batch and indicating common characteristics of the batch. For example, an order batch header may indicate that a certain product was ordered on credit and that the orders listed were all received on a particular day. Entering this information via a batch header eliminates the need to repeatedly enter the same information along with each order in the batch.
