Association of National Advertisers (ANA)
trade association of approximately 500 major manufacturing and service companies that advertise nationally. Founded in 1910 to improve the effectiveness of advertising, the organization is also actively involved in monitoring industrywide advertising practices, to protect the interest of its members. It also sponsors studies and issues reports on advertising effectiveness and techniques for the benefit of its members.
